Morgan Stanley is expanding on the Swedish market and chooses NGM

Morgan Stanley is expanding on the Swedish market and chooses NGM as their stock exchange.

Today NGM announces that the global bank Morgan Stanley is the newest member of the stock exchange. Morgan Stanley’s products are available for trading from today, May 19th.

Morgan Stanley is an American investment bank operating on a global market. The bank has existed in Sweden since 1997 and has, among other things, issued structured products. Now Morgan Stanley want to expand their business and start to issue ETP’s (exchange traded products) which is why they have chosen to become a stock exchange member and issuer of ETP’s at NGM.

- We are very pleased to welcome a global organization such as Morgan Stanley. This strengthens our position as the leading stock exchange within ETP’s in the Nordic region. Moreover, Morgan Stanley’s presence on our exchange also increases our product range. This is positive for investors who get more alternatives to choose between, says Tommy Fransson, Deputy CEO at NGM.

Morgan Stanley will issue Mini Futures and Bull & Bear certificates and they have chosen NGM due to the exchange’s flexibility and market range.

- NGM is the top stock exchange within ETP’s in Sweden and their platform offers big flexibility which is very valuable to us, says Christian Bährne, Institutional Equity Division at Morgan Stanley.

Morgan Stanley will offer products to Swedish investors via Avanza (the biggest online broker in Sweden) and the two organizations are also launching a new co-operation today.

- Avanza is the leading online broker within ETP’s in Sweden and they have also been rewarded for having the most satisfied customers five years in a row. They have a big focus on transparency and education which we think is important. Then investors can become aware of both the advantages and the risk with some instrument types. We hope that we, through our new co-operation, can increase the knowledge about ETP’s among investors, says Christian Bährne.
