Today marks the start of the 15th edition of the Investor Championship (Investerar-SM), a cornerstone of NGM's long-term educational initiative aimed at inspiring individuals and increasing knowledge about saving and investing. The Investor Championship is the largest investor competition in the Nordic region, giving participants the opportunity to test their skills in a realistic stock market environment.

Running from 13–24 October, this year's competition offers a total prize pool of SEK 250,000. Over the years, the competition has attracted hundreds of thousands of participants from across the Nordic countries. Each participant manages a fictional portfolio worth SEK 1 million, investing in products listed on NGM—providing a risk-free way to deepen their understanding of exchange-traded products and market dynamics.

"This year, NGM celebrates 15 years of educating and inspiring investors. The Investor Championship is about increasing financial knowledge and engagement while equipping more people with the tools to make informed, long-term investment decisions. Knowledge is the foundation of sustainable investing," says Magdalena Hartman, CEO of NGM.

Following the success of last year's initiative, Investor Championship Campus returns, bringing together students from ten Swedish universities to compete for the title. The initiative aims to strengthen financial engagement among university students and inspire the next generation of investors.

"With Campus, we want to create a platform where students can put theory into practice. It is inspiring to see the level of engagement," says Oskar Lindberg, Project Manager for the Investor Championship.

This year's main sponsors are Société Générale and Vontobel, two leading issuers in the Nordic exchange-traded products (ETP) market. Participants can invest in more than 50,000 products with a wide range of underlying assets, including indices, commodities, currencies, and equities.

"We continue to see strong engagement from Nordic investors. Interest has grown alongside the global events that have shaped 2025. The Investor Championship is an important initiative for increasing knowledge of the capital markets. We are proud to have educated and inspired investors for 15 years, and we look forward to continuing to contribute to more informed investing," concludes Magdalena Hartman.
