NGM won Most Innovative Exchange, Nordics
In fall 2016, we won the Most Innovative Exchange award, which aims to put the spotlight on stock exchanges around the world that have made great strides in terms of innovation and the will to develop with the world around them.
The areas assessed by the jury were technology and trading platform, the exchange’s growth and ability to drive growth in technology and related services, and the ability to develop the market.
“As a stock exchange, we must have world-class IT infrastructure, and if we are to deliver this infrastructure, we must listen carefully to the markets and our clients and constantly innovate. However, our success is not only a result of our trading system, but also the range of products and services we offer our clients. We believe in our concept and work toward long-term goals, but we will never stop growing. We have a responsibility both to our clients and to society at large to always provide the very best,” says Tommy Fransson, Deputy CEO of NGM.

NGM awarded Best Exchange, Nordics
We received the Best Exchange, Nordics 2016 award in connection with the Nordic Structured Products & Derivatives Conference 2016. This award went to the Nordic exchange that the jury found to have the best infrastructure and best client understanding.
“We are proud and delighted to receive so much positive attention and we would like to point out that we owe our successes to our clients. They send us intelligent suggestions and requests, and we are all ears. Close relationships are, and have been, a key requirement for us to have the market-leading technology we have today, and aim to have tomorrow. Our focus on educating investors distinguishes us from our competitors,” says Tommy Fransson, Deputy CEO of NGM.
NGM won award for best education
Our educational activities were awarded for the second year in a row with the Best Educational Initiative 2016 award in connection with the Nordic Structured Products & Derivatives Conference 2016. We are passionate about education and we have educated more than 100,000 investors in exchange traded products up to this year (2016) via our investor contest – which is now the largest in the Nordics. “We have always had a long-term focus and prioritized education, actively working to educate investors in collaboration with our clients. We organize the largest Nordic investor contest with more than 15,000 participants, hold physical education events, run daily web TV broadcasts and offer online-based education via our website,” says Tommy Fransson, Deputy CEO of NGM.
NGM acclaimed for its education in 2015
In spring 2015, we won the Best Educational Initiative 2015 award for the Nordics from Structured Retail Products. The award aims to pay tribute to those who prioritize education and regularly organize educational activities.
“We are proud to receive this award. We have distinguished ourselves from other exchanges for a long time by focusing on educating investors in collaboration with our clients and it is nice to see our initiatives being recognized,” says Tommy Fransson, Deputy CEO of NGM.
